During a week in August, a group of rugby teenagers took part in a rugby perfection camp organised by the Servette Rugby Club de Genève.
At 9am every day the teenagers met at Vessy to work on their technique, vision of the game and their fitness. The young rugby enthusiasts took advantage of the time with their coaches from the Servette Rugby academy to ask questions about their technique. Each player was then advised individually on how he could improve his game.
“The camp was awesome, I got to play rugby with my friends every day and enjoy the different afternoon activities” highlights Mehdi (U14 Servette Rugby Player).
Afternoon trips were organised throughout the week such as a cable car ride up the Salève accompanied by a hike, bowling, zip lining and a swim in the lake. These activities helped improve the team’s cohesion.
Jonathan Torossian (Head of the Academy) shares his impressions: “The summer camp was a fantastic opportunity to work on a daily basis with the youngsters. The activities during the afternoon were great, as they allowed us to share memorable moments with the teenagers in a non-rugby environment”.
“It was a great pleasure to coach and accompany the rugby boys during the course of the week!” adds Jonathan Torossian.
See you next year.
